In un comunicato stampa, Sega of America ha informato che il prezzo di Sonic Free Riders per Xbox 360 + Kinect sarà di 49,99 $. Il sito italiano di Sega non riporta invece alcuna informazione nuova sul gioco, sempre fermo a "Fine 2010" come data di rilascio e senza alcuna rassegna stampa o prezzo annunciato. 

Considerato che il prezzo del Kinect sarà con tutta probabilità di 149,99 Euro (oppure in bundle con l'Xbox 360 a 299 Euro), 50 $ per un gioco sono tanti o pochi convertiti nella nostra valuta? Un giretto su amazon.com ci aiuta: il prezzo di listino (senza sconti o promozioni) delle ultime uscite per Xbox 360 è di circa 59,99 $, ovvero un po' come in Italia dove oscillano dai 54,99 ai 59,99 Euro (a volte anche oltre...). Fatte queste considerazioni, è possibile che i giochi per Kinect possano costare meno proprio perchè gli utenti si trovano a dover acquistare anche l'accessorio per la console a un prezzo non proprio irrisorio.
